Nancy was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She has raised four
children by herself while building first a very successful career
and then a very successful and rewarding business. As of this writing,
she still has one daughter, 16, living at home. In just the past four
years, she has been blessed with four wonderful grandchildren including
twins! Her best friend and constant companion when she is home is
her dog “Boomer”.
Nancy
Jane has always been an avid gardener. As a child, her fondest memories
were times spent with her own grandmother digging, weeding, planting
and harvesting both the flower and vegetable gardens. Today, she has
transformed a bare subdivision lot into a park-like tranquil place
to relax. You can sit on the back patio and enjoy the sounds of nature
and running water as you watch the koi and goldfish swim in her patio
side pond.
Nancy has always enjoyed traveling and going to new places. In the
mid-1980’s after the breakup of her marriage, Nancy and her three
children packed their bags and moved to Australia to start a new life.
Her and her family spent seven years there and it was during this
time, that her love of nature grew further. Besides being able to
grow plants that could literally grow year round, she discovered her
beloved rain forests!
She has an extensive background in sales and customer service. Her
first sales job was working for Tupperware while she lived in Australia.
From there, she made the plunge into office equipment. Through out
her next 10 years, she enjoyed being at the top of her field.
In the summer of 2000, Nancy received a phone call from a dear friend
in Australia about a terrific new product. In June 20001, she left
her office equipment world to embark on her new adventure…..marketing
and selling a new concept in flower pot technology. Her children thought
she was mad as they watched her invest her small life savings and
drive away in a rented truck complete with a bed in the back and plenty
of stock to start selling. Today, when the season is slow, she still
can be found out driving the USA with her truck and trailer introducing
her product to new people!
Nancy Jane has just completed her fifth successful year on QVC and
her pots can be found throughout the US at Nurseries and Garden Centers
as well as many mail order catalogs.
In late ‘2004, the new self watering stacking pots were introduced.
She is especially proud of these pots as she is the co-inventor! The
Stacking Tubs are due to be released in Spring ‘2006 and she is holding
her cards very tight right now, but check back next Spring and you
will see some exciting new products that are scheduled to be released!
